How should I start a hardware startup?
Welcome to the Hardware Startups sub-Reddit - feel free to post on anything that you think will interest anyone in the community. The idea is that we're a blend of r/DIY and r/startups content - like a Hacker News for hardware. Good ideas: hardware news, prototyping/manufacturing how-to, success stories, physical Kickstarter pages, etc. Bad ideas: General startup stuff, DIY articles without a startup angle, TC/VB/etc. link-bait, etc.
Have you ever had a hardware product idea but didn’t know how to sketch or design it without an engineer?
Our community brings together individuals driven by a shared commitment to problem-solving, professional networking, and collaborative innovation, all with the goal of making a positive impact. We welcome a diverse range of pursuits, from side projects and small businesses to venture-backed startups and solo ventures. However, this is a space for genuine connection and exchange of ideas, not self-promotion. Please refrain from promoting personal blogs, consulting services, books, MLMs, opinions.
