Who we are

A private tour company built on local knowledge.

Nepali Private Tours was founded by a small circle of mountain guides who grew up in the valleys, ridges and high passes of Nepal. We set out to do one thing exceptionally well: design private journeys that feel personal, unhurried and genuinely connected to the country we call home.

Every itinerary we create begins with a conversation. Whether you have ten days or ten weeks, whether you dream of standing at Everest Base Camp at sunrise or drifting through the temples of Patan in soft afternoon light, our job is to shape the journey around you — not the other way around.

We handle the logistics quietly and precisely: permits, lodges, private vehicles, weather calls, altitude pacing, rescue planning. What you feel, instead, is freedom — the freedom to walk at your own rhythm, to stop when a view moves you, to follow a conversation in a tea house for an extra hour.

  • 100% private departuresEvery tour runs for your group only — no strangers, no fixed dates.
  • Licensed, government-certified guidesAll of our guides hold current Trekking Guide and Tour Leader licences.
  • Fair and transparent pricingFull breakdown before you book. No hidden costs on arrival.
  • 24/7 in-country supportReal humans in Kathmandu, reachable any hour of your stay.

Why travel with us

Small in size. Serious about detail.

We deliberately keep our operation compact so that every journey stays personal — from the first email to the last transfer back to the airport.

01

One-to-one planning

You work with the same planner from first enquiry to final day. No call centres, no handovers, no generic templates.

02

Guides born local

Every guide on our team was raised in or near the region they lead. Their stories are personal, their knowledge is lived.

03

Safety without drama

Oximeters, evacuation plans, oxygen at altitude, satellite comms on remote routes. The boring stuff, done properly.

04

Responsible by default

Fair porter wages, no single-use plastics on trek, community lodges where possible, and a percentage of every tour donated locally.

Meet the team

In their words

Guests who came back changed.

"
Everything was flawless — the pacing, the lodges, the way Pemba read the weather and adjusted our route without ever making it feel like a compromise. This is the most professionally run private tour I've ever taken.

Maya walked us through Patan for six hours and it felt like twenty minutes. I've travelled a lot in Asia — this was the first time a city truly unfolded for me. Worth every rupee.

We had two kids, a tight schedule and a lot of questions. Every single one was answered before we even booked. The trip itself was unforgettable — Upper Mustang especially.
