Caught my husband in a lie, what to do?

Honestly -I could see how one may lie about day drinking when they are supposed to be working or on a normal day while you’re back home. Like not wanting you to be jealous or rub it in… now the only I’d be pissed at-is if those CC charges were for two… then you have a situation

Thank you for the insight! The bank charge was clearly only for one drink, so there's that. It feels extra strange that he'd lie about having a singular drink. I could see him trying to cover his tracks if he spent too much money and got drunk or something. And I could see him being worried that I'd be upset over him spending the afternoon day drinking. But a solitary drink at a nice brewery? Not a problem at all. Certainly not worth lying about, from my perspective.

It must be an issue or he would not have lied about it. Men lie sometimes for the stupidest reasons. I don’t get that. I would wait until he comes home and sit him down and confront him. Why did u feel you had to lie? Not being argumentative.
