How did you find out you're gay?

Ok so I'm pansexual. I never was given the opportunity to date women (I dated whi presented themselves to me openly and I guess it was just men who always got to me first). I felt like I was cheating myself for a really long time. When I was 22 I ended up pregnant, and dated my child's father for 8 years. I really tried to force it to work but I was unhappy the entire time.

Is she more experienced with dating men or women? I don't think I'm asking it right but like if she is newer to the women side of things, maybe she is trying to overcompensate? I dated a couple bi women in my younger days, and I remember at least one was really going overboard with her love of all things lesbian, like annoyingly so. But she told me it was because a lot of lesbian don't date bi women (as I'm sure you have heard) and she was just trying to show that she was "committed" I guess? I don't know, I could be 100 percent incorrect which is not an uncommon occurrence. Either way, good luck OP!

I always had the feeling, but never knew how to label it, since my family was super religious. when I was almost a preteen, my friend at the time insulted someone by calling them a "lesbian." I didn't know what it meant so I asked her to explain. When I found that definition, everything made sense. I never questioned it afterword's, I just felt like I finally knew myself. I never felt guilty for being one either, and I never felt guilty when I kept it a secret for a long time after that. I knew my truth, and it was like the opposite of religious guilt, when I discovered I was gay as hell, it felt as if all the shame I had since then had been lifted lmao
