About Luffy’s recent behavior

Luffy has obviously been getting a lot of hate on this subreddit recently for his attack on Loki due to his comments about shanks. However, I think that it COULD be and interesting character flaw that Luffy will have to confront in the futur. I'm not sure if Oda would write it like that, but it would be much needed character development for Luffy's temper to cause serious problems in this arc, calling back to how Ace sales his own fate due to his pride. It would also be some pretty cool characterization for shanks, since his lesson for Luffy in chapter one would have seemed like it predicted luffy's character, showing that Shanks really was interested in Luffy. Am I cooking?
