What happened to YouTube gaming?

I’m 24 years old and YouTube during my teenage years was to me the golden age of YouTube gaming. Markiplier, jacksepticeye,dashie, and cory were all I looked forward to everyday watching. I couldn’t wait to see what new play through my favorite YouTubers were gonna post. It’s a lost art now. What happened ?? Now it’s just a bunch of one off videos every 3 weeks if I’m lucky.
