Starting internship at Congress, what should women wear?

I am going to be starting an internship within Congress in January and I was wondering what I should wear to the internship, especially as a woman? Like is normal business casual work wear fine? or should I be buying multiple suits? Can I wear dresses and skirts? Please give any advice possible because I am confused and want to start getting clothes soon.
