Nowadays It Feels Weird To Like High School Waifus.

when I was in 3rd year of my middle school I started watching anime. and since then I've watched so many animes. obviously I've got a lot many waifus that I loved in the journey!!
then I was 'younger' than they were (being high schoolers and so on...) and I used to be open about my choice of waifus.
but now that I'm entering college, I've outgrown them in age.
once I was the younger one, looking up to my fictional senpais, now they are the 'minors'.
Megumin, Yuki, Chitanda, and so on...
and when, if the topic of waifus rise, people (probably jokingly but still) sometimes call it weird to 'like' a character canonically 'younger' to me.
but when I fell in love, it wasn't so. they were the sempais.
so, just a rant😅 but does anyone feel the same way?
