Denied biometrics at the scheduled date

I was sent back from my biometrics appointment as the DS160 number my appointment form mentioned wasn't ever submitted and was removed from the system after 30 days So here's the complete chronology: I booked my appointment in January 2024 and I got the date for March 2025; while booking the appointment I started the DS160 application but missed submitting it assuming it's valid only for a year so I'd fill out a new one before my appointment date However, as it turned out the confirmation for the DS160 mentioned on the appointment form is absolutely mandatory for all the appointments booked after November 2023 Moreover, if you don't fill out DS160 within 30days it's removed from the system When I showed them the snippet saying I can't retrieve the mentioned DS160 application, they asked me to step aside and book a fresh appointment I don't know if it was my ignorance or plain bad luck but I'm heartbroken since I found this out after year and a half of my appointment confirmation
