Making good progress on my depression home. Wanted to share what I've done
I've been neglecting my house for like 6+mo, and as a single parent who works 12hr days 5 days a week, it's been a nightmare to even get started. My SSRI needed changed and now that it's working again, I actually have the energy and emotional/mental capacity to start tackling things.
Today I bagged up 3 giant bags of trash out of my bedroom alone. Cleaned all under my bed, desk, floor, etc. Also cleared off my desks, cleared out a lot of old paperwork that needed to be taken care of, and gave a good wipe down to all surfaces.
It's been a huge change in progress. Now I just gotta take out as much trash as I can and wait for trash day tomorrow.
I just wanted to share my small win, its a really good start. And now I'm driven to get more done thanks to how my ADHD allows me to "snowball" productivity. Really hard to often start but once I DO get started it's easy to plow through (just gotta be careful not to burn myself out and need multiple days to recover).
