Stalling at bedtime - asking for potty
Title basically sums it up! But my 2.5 year old has recently started stalling bedtime by saying he needs to poop. It’s about 70% of the time he won’t actually poop, or if he does it’s a little tiny nugget. He’s also saying that he “doesn’t want to sleep” so I’m pretty sure it’s a stall tactic. I’ve tried reminding him he went potty and he can go again in the morning, but after 3 or 4 times back and forth I usually cave and take him to the potty. When I do take him to the potty I keep it strictly potty business. No fun games, no chit chat. Any other tips or suggestions? I should mention he’s in a toddler bed.
