TN Visa CSA approval with business degree?
I really hope this post doesn't cause me more stress, but here it goes. I will be applying for a TN Visa for an IT Solutions Engineer role under NAFTA role CSA. I currently have a BCOM Degree in Quantitative Finance, but took many computer, Math, and Stats course throughout my program. I also have about 7yrs of solutions architecture experience that aligns very well to the role of a CSA under NAFTA.
I am worried that having a BCOM degree might cause some issues. my understanding though is the officer will reference the OOH manual to see what's required for a computer systems analyst (CSA) role.
Education requirements are as follows:
Computer systems analysts typically need a bachelor's degree in computer and information technology or a related field, such as mathematics. Because these analysts are involved in the business side of an organization, taking business courses or majoring in management information systems may be helpful. Some employers hire job candidates who have liberal arts degrees and have gained programming or technical expertise elsewhere.
Some employers prefer applicants who have a master’s degree in business administration (MBA) with a concentration in information systems. For technically complex jobs, a master’s degree in computer science may be more appropriate.

I am hoping that I can present my degree and highlight any courses in my transcript that will highlight computer and math abilities to make a case that I have the necessary degree. my second hope is that they might consider my BCOM degree to liken a liberal arts degree, but pair that with the employment proof of experience I have from my previous employers. my proof of employment also list the duties I performed as almost like for like with the Duties of a CSA under OOH manual:
Computer systems analysts typically do the following:
Consult with managers to determine the role of information technology (IT) systems in an organization
Research different technologies to decide if they would increase the organization’s efficiency
Analyze costs and benefits of IT systems and upgrades to help managers decide which, if any, to install
Devise ways to add functionality to existing computer systems
Design new systems by configuring hardware and software
Oversee the installation and configuration of new systems and customize them for the organization
Test systems to ensure that they work as expected
Write instruction manuals and train the systems’ end users

I am doing the best I can given what I got, but I wanted to get second opinions from the group.
