Melee weapons should have its own weapon slot in our loadouts

Yes, they should, and I’m tired of thinking that it shouldn’t. It would only enhance the chaos and fun in this game by giving players more options for build crafting and in fights. I want to be able to use these melee options, but it always feels like your shooting your self and your team in the foot when you pick a melee weapon. They just don’t work in this game because these abilities and gadgets aren’t built around that playstyle.

Melee characters in other games have specific abilities made for that melee playstyle. In this game, all you have is a dash or a winch claw to kinda help you melee people and that’s hoping you don’t get gunned down on sight.

They will always be weaker, niche picks, so just make them a secondary weapon please. Something I can pull out when I’m out of ammo or when the situation is just right.

Think about the builds we’ll have the and freedom the devs will have to actually invest in new melee weapons. On medium, you can have shield on your back like in zombies with the riot shield, or pull out dual blades when your pushing a team for extra pressure by deflecting bullets then switching to your main. Heavies will feel so much more satisfying to play knowing I have a sledge or spear in my back pocket when people get to close or try to steal a cashout. Lights will actually feel like assassins with a the ability to pull out a dagger or sword when the time is right. Can you imagine a sniper playstyle for long range, then cloak and swap to dagger for close range! And then don’t get me started on what they COULD add with this new direction for melee weapons.
