Australian visiting

I have an Australian (50 M) with his two sons (16, 14) friend visiting the US and they want to see parts of Texas. They land in DFW and have five days. No particular thing they want to see other than different types of geography. I suggested going South and then SouthEast. Where would you suggest going?
