Is it unethical to use my crush's dad

Basically, I have a chance of scoring a nuclear physics internship with my crush's dad. But, its very likely (based off of what ive heard) that her dad wants an Indian only marriage, and I am Indian. I don't know, but that seems really weird. I'm probably reading too much into this. (Also my last internship went horribly, so I don't know😭)
