OG Roam died, Sonos replacing for free
My Roam, originally purchased from Sonos in July 2021, died this week. On power it would show the orange charging light but would not turn on. I chatted with CS and after about 10 minutes of going through the basic steps to reset, they let me know they're going to send me a free replacement, either an original model or an updated 2, depending on what they have in stock.
So, if anyone is having battery/power issues with their Roam, I recommend at least trying CS even though it's WAY out of warranty. Given all the app issues lately (I've had relatively minor issues w/ system not found and losing my local library and decided to to go the Plex route instead) I was prepared for this to be the start of my exit out of the Sonos ecosystem, but I was pleasantly surprised.
**LONG OVERDUE UPDATE**
Got an original Roam, no longer using the wireless charger I bought with the unit originally. All seems fine.
