New to Solar — Lease vs. Purchase

So I got approached by a salesman and was impressed by his schtick. Didn’t send him away, did some research over the last week, haven’t signed anything.

The way I see it, the lease option (provided to me by Lightreach) would cost a bunch more than an outright purchase / install paid upfront or financed through a loan via HELLC or a credit union.

BUT the lease comes with warranties for 25 years plus maintenance, etc.

Do the warranties and benefits attached to the lease route warrant the extra expense? I guess I’m looking for opinions from experienced solar users in terms of what the cost of ownership is that I’d be passing on to the lessor instead of taking on myself — albeit for a higher monthly payment.
