[HELP]Game doesn't take any inputs only if I name my character

So I installed the game today with a new modlist and everything loads in normally and works fine, so long as I don't change my characters name from the initial "Prisoner". If I create a character and type in a name, I then load into the world and can't move, open the menu, do anything, except look around with right stick/mouse. If I disconnect my controller, I can also open the menu with 'Esc', but on controller I can't open the menu with 'start'.

It also doesn't matter whether I input my character name during the initial character creation or afterwards, using the console. I tried creating an unnamed character, everything worked fine, I could move around and interact with the world. Then I entered the character editor with 'showracemenu', put in a character name and once again I can't do anything except move the camera. Changing the name back to 'Prisoner' doesn't change anything at this point.

The problem persists when loading a save with a named character, even after restarting the game. I can only move characters that haven't been named.

Very weird bug, anyone ever experienced this? Or do I need to resign myself to being 'Prisoner'?

EDIT: It's not just naming the character. I now found out that pressing anything on the keyboard breaks the game. As soon as there is any keyboard input I can't do anything except move the camera.
