Need help deciding between Braun Series 3 and 5

Hi, I'm looking for a good beginner shaver (I'm 15M), and I've narrowed it down to two options.

1: Braun Series 3 3040s

2: Braun Series 5 50-B1000S

Both are very similarly priced, but I've heard mixed reviews about the series 5, so I'm not sure if i should take it over the older series 3. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks :)
