Will chest scars affect top surgery?

Okay so I'm trans FtM and my chest causes a lot of dysphoria and a lot of the time i get thoughts of cutting my chest. If I were to do that would it affect if I would be able to get top surgery? Would it depend on how deep the cut was or the area? I know I shouldn't be doing it in the first face but if I were to do it would it affect my ability to get top surgery in the future and/or the results?
