Has Severance just lost the plot in season 2?
I can’t be the only one who just doesn’t care in the slightest about anything that’s happened in the last two episodes? It feels like the writers have bought into their own mystery box hype a little too much and their premise is reaching its breaking point.
I feel like exploring the idea of Mark experiencing this tragedy and making the monstrous, irreversible (or not) decision to sever himself seems much more interesting than his wife being secretly alive in some weird experiment.
And this last episode where apparently the whole kier thing is basically just a religion in the outside? I feel like the more insightful and relatable idea is how the innies are made to work for no tangible reward because they’re presented with this mythologized corporate history. But now it’s just a whacky cult?
Unfortunately the show has seemingly just lost all its vibes lately.
