Offer Received and Taken Away
I received an offer on Thursday via email and shortly requested a formal offer letter as well. Two days went by and I hadn't received the formal offer letter to sign, so I requested it from my interviewer who was also the CEO of this company.
Today I get a call from the CEO that "the reason why my offer was rescinded was due to my email that I sent to the CEO" His BS excuse was that there was "a lot of back and forth" (I sent one follow up email and one question regarding the start date).
Note: they wanted to run a background check two weeks before the start date, but they wanted me to start Jan 6th which is next week. The fact that these people are so incompetent is beyond my understanding. The HR director is so inconsistent with the messaging and I have the whole email thread of her emailing me at 11pm requesting information. What does she do all day at work then?
It's already difficult getting a job in this market, and now you have to deal with this too? Sent a follow-up email and got my offer declined? The heck...
P.S: the image is from Friday, when I received an email from the HR director at 10AM with the words "Wonderful! I'll send the offer letter shortly"
Shortly... Is maybe a few hours, not days. Jeez.
