Sam Darnold vs. Geno Smith

It will be interesting:

1. to hear the talking heads if Darnold signs a similar deal to QB Seattle. We would have signed Smith to his richest contract plus paid draft capital.

2. My guess is we go bpa (Jeanty or Tetris) and second tier QB……..possibly 3rd round. Second tier QBs seem closer in talent to 1st round guys this year.

3. Remember last time we traded for a QB and concurrently drafted a QB….which seems to be the plan. 2014 we traded for Matt Schaub and drafted Carr, wonder if history repeats itself.

4. Brady influence in the NFL seems overrated, doubt we needed Brady influence to get this deal done. Seattle probably does same deal with anyone who calls with our offer.

5. Also is it just me or is Geno Smith similar in player profile to Shadeur Sanders? Competent looking guy with high completion rate and so so athletic traits? Maybe Geno has better arm talent?
