When is the Flying Squad called in?
I just read about the staggering break in where a lone thief stole 10 million pounds worth of items; but it seems that Central North BCU will be leading the investigation?
I have utmost respect for the BCU officers but surely they don't have the expertise or resources to quickly resolve this case?
As a general question, I wonder what the threshold is for when the Flying Squad gets called in? I have seen them get called in for much lower sums and just wonder when they are deployed. It would seem that this high profile case would be perfect for the Squad.
