How to prepare for a piercing?

I’m getting my lip pierced next weekend. The only other piercing I have is my earlobes from when I was 6, so I don’t really have much experience with this kinda stuff and I also don’t really handle needles too well, but I really want to get it done so I was wondering if there were any ways I can prepare to get it done??
