First Timer At Okee / Long Time Bonnaroo Veteran With A Few Questions!
Hey guys! I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone in just a little over a month. I'm a long time Bonnaroo veteran and drive the Roo Bus there, but this is going to be my first time at Okee. I've long wanted to come down and check it out, and my favorite band pushed me over the edge to come try it for myself this year.
I had a few questions that I hope some of you can help me out with:
Differences - Those of you who have done both Okee and Roo before, what would you say are the main differences between the two?
Campgrounds - I've read much on how there are some secondary stages out in the campgrounds, can you tell me a bit about what's featured at those and which are worth checking out? Also, I DJ a bit part time and would like to throw down a few quick and fun sets, is that a thing that commonly happens in the camps?
Crowd / Community - The biggest reason that Roo is my "home festival" is because of how friendly and welcoming the community is there. What would you say the vibe of the Okee community is, and how does it compare?
Stages - If I can, I'd like to get up front for Tame Impala on Friday. Does Okee have a pit and pit line like Roo does? From what I've seen so far, it doesn't seem to. What would be your recommendations and tips if I wanted to get up front for that show?
Food Vendors - Where are most of the food vendors located, and what would you recommend as some of the musts to try?
Thanks so much, can't wait to see you in just a few weeks!
