OKC taking a tactical rest day vs teams that aren't quite up to par is smart game management from Daigneualt as we get ready for the playoffs. This current rest day will give OKC starters 5 days of rest from their last game on Sunday till their next game on Friday.
The Thunder have played 14 games (12-2) in 25 days including 4 back-to-backs with games vs: Minny 2x, Rockets, Memphis, Denver 2x, Boston, Detroit and Milwaukee.
The rest of the Thunder schedule is pretty soft (PHI, CHO, @LAC, @SAC, MEM, IND, CHI, DET, @HOU, LAL, LAL, @PHX, @UTA, @NOP) and I wouldn't be surprised if they opt out playing their main guys in back-to-backs.
They may also potentially sit out the road trip at the end of the season which would give them a nice 2 week break until the start of the playoffs (especially considering we don't expect to learn anything vs PHX, UTA or NOP and those teams probably smartly want to tank)
