Why do advanced stats (BPM/VORP) hate Tatum?

Tatum is very clearly on the level of some of the great wings of all time. The guy is capable of averaging 30, but on a stacked team he takes the worst parts of the offensive and turns it into good shot-making in his driving and perimeter shot-making. Additionally he’s hugely impactful on defence and on the level of impact of two of the ten best guard defenders ever in Jrue and DWhite and a he’s a mighty forward playmaker. Nonetheless, his BPM hovers around 5 and dbpm is literally +.08 and VORP thinks he’s a role player. According to these stats, Derrick white is better than him. What’s going on here?
