AITA? I play competitive, but I don’t care about climbing.

This is my first online team-based game, and I’m really enjoying it.

However, whenever I try to lighten the mood in voice chat, especially when we’re losing, by saying things like "It’s OK, guys, we tried our best" or "Please stop yelling at ___, it’s just a game," I get yelled at and told, "This is competitive, go play Quickplay."

I play competitive because the games feel better and more structured. The competition is higher, and when I queue for Quickplay, I often end up with four DPS because people just pick whatever. So, I stick to competitive. I always give it my all, and I go up and down in rank, but I genuinely don’t care about climbing.

AITA for playing competitive for not "caring"?
