Glock 17 - cheap light ok?

Looking for a light in my new/first Glock17. For rarely planning on ever using the flashlight I’m struggling to justify the $130+ lights that friends are recommending. Some on amazing for $30-$50 with good reviews would appear to get the job done. Would rather save the money and buy more ammo for the range.
