[Online]{UTC -05][Other] Black Lagoon: Outlaws, pirates,, spies! Oh My! [Modern War RPG]
I had a GM run into some real life obligations, so I'm looking for someone willing to try their hand at running a campaign concept I've had for a few years. The concept follows:
In Southeast Asia and the South China Sea, piracy is all over the place. Corruption runs rampant and the governments of the many small countries do not work together. On top of that, China, the US and other powers use it as a middle ground in their many power struggles. There are also countless local factions.
My character and accompanying NPC personalities are mercenaries living in Thailand, doing what they can to grow the company at the beginning of the campaign. Ideally this would lead to international contracts in places such as Ukraine, Myanmar, etc.
There is a ton of plot potential here and I'd love to discuss it with anyone interested. I'd like to use the Modern War rpg which has a book for the South China Sea and a great system for adding existing equipment, vehicles, etc. from Wikipedia. Also, the fringe nature of the campaign means there are limitless opportunities to bring in interesting personalities for a scene or even as recurring NPCs.
