Substrate help

I'm planning on using reptisoil for my leo's new tank but I just wanted to ask what else should it be mixed with. I've seen tons of different answers all over this subreddit and I can't come to a solid conclusion. Also, if I'm going to do substrate, does it have to be bioactive and if so, what does that entail?
