Recording. (Please read.)

I’m a high school student in Canada, grade 10 to be exact. There is a student in my class who stares at me a lot, including staring at me while he gripped his crotch very tightly and was bouncing his legs VERY aggressively (it could be nothing, it still felt a bit odd though.) I have been wanting to bring it to a teacher so I could maybe get some sort of interference, so I decided to place my phone in my back pocket while it was recording. Not only was he staring at me, but it was directly at my private areas. I don’t know what the recording laws are on school grounds/in a classroom, and if I should delete the video and pray my teacher will take my word. I’ll give some details about the location and recording. I did not inform him that I was recording, otherwise it would’ve defeated the purpose of trying to catch him. I go to a public school, but it was inside of the classroom. One of my friends also has been weirded out by him, and she asked to see the video, so I sent it to her. I want to keep him away from me as he genuinely makes me feel very unsafe and uncomfortable, but I don’t want to get in any trouble with my teacher OR the law. I don’t know if this is relevant, but he does look to be quite old (beard, older futures) so I don’t know if he got held back or if he just grows quickly. My family and I have talked about it many times, but all of them also have a slight suspicion that he may be autistic, and that being up the question of if he knew what he was doing was wrong.
