My First Kobo

I've been a Kindle user all my life, but I recently decided to try a Kobo Libra Colour (KLC). So far, my experience has been very positive. I didn't realize I was missing out on many integrations and features not available on Kindle.

One of my favorite aspects is the ability to customize the reading experience to resemble a paper book. I've adjusted the font, margins, and line spacing to achieve this. Reading in landscape mode also works well for me, and I'll likely continue using it.

I heavily rely on Pocket to save articles and news for later reading. Having Pocket integrated into my Kobo is an efficient use of the device.

The Overdrive integration is another highlight, though my only gripe is that the Kobo won't allow me to add multiple library accounts. I'm a member of two public libraries and often use skip-the-line loans from my second library. Currently, I have to switch accounts on my Kobo to access those loans.

I appreciate the list mode in "My Books," which displays library loan expiration dates.. (Whispers 🤔: If I sign out of Overdrive or put my Kobo in airplane mode, could I continue reading the book until I go back online and sync it?)

While the color screen is a bit dull to my taste, I'm content as long as I avoid direct comparisons with original covers or other devices.

I'm eager to return to my reading now....
