Didnt get the job after 6 rounds

It's a little discouraging not getting the job after a 3-month process . They at the end said the went with someone who experience aligns more with the role which makes no sense . If it was an experience issue isn't it something that you say in the earlier rounds ? Its pretty weird but yeah maybe that job just wasn't for me ,
