Help Please

Hey folks, I hope you guys can help me find something. Maybe a year ago, I found a cool post about a fictional state in the U.S. that was populated by the descendants of Japanese fur traders who were incorporated into the US when the US purchased Alaska. I think the state was called Kyoko? Maybe the Sunrise State? I've searched for hours and I can't find it! The post included two beautiful maps, including an election map! I have searched my search history, my reddit history, and my notifications! I confess I also can't remember if the post was in here, imaginarymaps, or worldbuilding. Any help is appreciated!
