Interested in Hot Toys

So I have no knowledge of hot toys but have obviously heard about them. With the tease of the new Daredevil Born Again figure I’m very tempted to to buy my very first one. Can anyone tell me just why these things are so expensive? Are they really worth 300+ dollars? Why or why not? Thanks!
