Any love for Don Trip here?

Like the title says, is there any love for Don Trip among this community?

I've been listening to Trip since around the days he put out Randy Savage and Godspeed (2012 ish). I guess Letter To My Son was where it all really began for me. I went back and reviewed his earlier works but mostly was impressed with those two albums and single at the time. I checked for him a bit over the years but kind of forgot about him a while. Then he went on this unending run in 2023, starting with Gotham City and he's had a project release every month since then.

I'm absolutely blown away by his work ethic, his output rate, his improved quality and his visual story telling. Sometimes I start a track and it's like a mini movie plays in my head as I follow along. His words feel authentic and lived in. Every time I introduce a new person to him, they're all on board immediately. I don't know why he doesn't have more mass appeal (I mean I do...I get it, independent artist/grimy grinding music/no radio hits etc...) but I'm still surprised he's not brought up more often. So...any love for him here? I'm open to discussion, thoughts and opinions. Tell me your favorite project of his. Tell me your favorite song. Tell me why you don't like him if you don't.

To those unfamiliar I'd recommend checking out some of my favorite albums of his and these are in no particular order:

  1. Gotham City

  2. The Devil You Know

  3. Pray Gods Not Watching

  4. Fireworks

  5. Hells Kitchen

  9. Frostbite

  10. Before The Devil Knows You're Dead

  11. Mayhem

  12. Freedom Fighter

  13. Revenge of the Fallen

  14. Que Sera Sera
