Brand Tiers

Hi! I have become more interested in handbags and want to buy 1 or 2 to start. I was looking at Coach, but don’t know if it is considered luxury. Is Coach along the same lines of Michael Kors and Kate Spade? Is there a next level tier you guys can recommend? Appreciate any input!
