Advice needed…Heat Mat/Thermostat Probe Placement
Hey all! Just setting up a new enclosure for my Thick Tailed Geckos. I have a glass enclosure and have read/watched different advice for probe placement. Obviously the heat map gets placed underneath the base but what are people’s thoughts with probe placement? Stuck between heat mat and base glass or inside the enclosure on top on glass and under sand substrate. I’m thinking the first option, wedged between the glass and heat pad outside of the enclosure, stuck on with aluminum tape. Is there anything I need to know. Finally it’s an Exo Terra enclosure so ventilation is already accounted for. Thanks in advance!
