What do you usually consider overspraying?

hey, r/fragrance! I've been wondering what do people consider overspraying. as an example, I usually have 4 sprays of something as light as j'adore or la vie est belle en rose for everyday wear, but when I know the fragrance has a shameful performance (say, black opium) I treat myself with two more sprays in the air and then walking inside the mist. when I have a more energetic night time destination, the farthest I've ever went was 8 sprays, but I'm usually done with 6. what are your takes?
