PSA for Mayflash users on PS5
I tried posting this yesterday but reddit wasn't having it...
I'm making this post because I feel the question of "My Mayflash won't work with PS5" gets asked often recently and people are giving the wrong/not the full answer. This is for models F300, F300 elite, F500, F500 elite
here is what you need to know:
You need to update the firmware if you haven't already.
After that the only way it works for ps5 games is having the mayflash *magic-s pro, **3rd party PS4 controllers or the Mayflash magicboots PS4 adapter( it’s a little dongle that goes in the USB port on the back of the stick and you don’t have to attach a controller) those are the only way to get your mayflash to work with ps5 for ps5 games.
If you want to play PS4 games on your ps5 then all you have to do is plug in your PS4 controller.
*If you get the magic-s pro adapter that also needs a firmware update to work for ps5
**3rd party PS4 controllers have to be specific ones and mayflash has a list of them.
I would highly recommend the magic boots PS4 it’s $25 on Amazon( if you’re in the states) and it’s compact and never have to plug a controller into it the stick.
I also ask a favor of everyone can you please stop saying "plug a ps4 controller" because that's not the correct or full answer, just direct them to this post
