What's Going On In Your Exandria?
Experiencing what happens in the show and talking about it here can be a fun or frustrating experience. Either way, I think we all need to take a step back every now and then to remember that Matt Mercer has given us the capability to shape his setting in any way we see fit.
Those of you running or playing in an Exandria game: What's going on? How did you make Exandria yours? If you're not running or playing in a game then feel free to say what you would like to do!
I have both run and played in games taking place in Exandria so I'll throw in a few highlights I went through:
- Deep within the ruins of Draconia, an entire civilization of Draconblood who survived the fall in the reinforced belly of the city containing a labyrinth of vaults began to surface after decades of living underground. Feeling nothing but murderous wrath they began to tunnel and blast their way through western Xorhas.
-Within Xarzith Kitril, a scandal forced one of the two major leaders into hiding. The new ruling leader began to turn the young city into a xenophobic theocratic state complete with its own "Inquisition" that practically overthrew the Wardens of the Ravine. Empire and Krynn citizens were eventually banned from the city.
-The Iron Authority are storming through southern Tal'Dorei. They are led by a worldwide conspiracy of Betrayer God agents that have infiltrated the governments of multiple countries. The party managed to liberate Emon from the conspiracy but are on the run since they possess an artifact the conspiracy requires for their end game plan of summoning a monstrous creature from the Calamity era. I do want to mention this is an alternate timeline where the Chroma Conclave never existed so Tal'Dorei is still ruled by a Sovereign rather than the Council.
-An agent of Vorugal successfully used a corrupted Luxon Beacon to ensnare Tiberius Stormwind's soul during the Fall of Draconia. After Draconia's destruction he was reincarnated as a Drow within the Krynn Dynasty. Despite the Dynasty's efforts to hide him, his previous life's memories eventually come back and he fled. The party met him shortly after.
