My space science and transport platforms
I'm loving the new space platform challenges and think I'm happy with both my ~100 SPM science platform and space transport platform. Please rate and review!
I've used the same platform to get to Vulcanus, Gleba and Fulgora with no issue and there are enough panels and accumulators for each planet's sunlight, but I've not yet arrived at Aquila to test!
Circuits control how much collectors and crushers create. The belt loop contents are read at all times. The constant combinator outputs the amount of each item you want on the belt but as a negative number. The decider combinator says if input signal less than 0 then output that item as 1. Both combinators are connected to belt reader. So if total > 0 then item is needed. All machines and inserters that need this logic are connected via the green wire. For example, if there is 50 ammo currently on the belt loop and 140 is desired (as negative in constant combinator), the decider combinator outputs a total of 90, meaning this is > 1 so a green signal of 1 for ammo is output and therefore inserters with a filter for ammo will activate. Once 140 are on belt the sum total is 0 and the signal stops and the inserters with a filter for ammo will deactivate. Display and lamp alerts exist on the transport platform since that's important when moving. You could even connect the hub to the green wire and set condition to leave only when ammo and fuel are full, AND all logistics requests from surface are satisfied.
