What's up with the hate for Ridgid power tools?
When I first started construction, before I was an electrician, my first boss was awesome and bought me a Ridgid brushless impact and hammer drill with batteries. When I asked him why Ridgid he said they are quality tools with a lifetime warranty.
Fast forward 3 years I have had so much shit talked about my tools. I know people talk shit about anything, especially your choice of tools, but also no one runs Ridgid at multiple sites I've been at. It's always 1 Milwaukee 2 DeWalt and 3 Makita. I see Ridgid so rarely I was wondering if people really do think they're garbage even though they're the same price and have the warranty no other manufacturer offers anymore.
My impact and hammer drill are still kicking ass over 3 years later and they have seen some shit. The original batteries are still in my rotation too.
Honestly if you see Ridgid power tools do you thing garbage? Is there some secret history of them coming alive and murdering their owners? Because with the price, warranty, and quality I don't understand why they aren't more popular.
