When Comedy Becomes the National Emergency: A Satirical Take on Priorities.

Welcome to India(mera Bharat mahan), where real problems take a backseat, and the government is busy solving the biggest crisis of our time—YouTube jokes.

Men struggling with mental health? Ignore.

Farmers committing suicide? Not trending enough.

Job crisis? Shhh, don’t disturb, we’re busy filing FIRs against comedians.

Ashutosh’s Case? Who’s That?

A young guy named Ashutosh took his own life, allegedly due to mental health struggles and emotional distress. Did anyone in power talk about it? Nope. No headlines, no outrage, no candle marches. Because, let’s be real—talking about men’s issues isn’t as exciting as going after a YouTube show. Being a man in India is tougher than being a WiFi signal during a power cut—because we don’t have laws for us, all we have is lauda.

But say “sex” on the internet once, and suddenly the government is speed-running FIRs like it’s a side quest in GTA.

The Great "India’s Got Latent" National Crisis™

Comedians Samay Raina & Ranveer Allahbadia made some dumb jokes on YouTube. Sure, they weren’t winning any awards for intelligence, but let’s be honest—was this really our biggest problem?

The Supreme Court got involved faster than they react to actual corruption.

The National Commission for Women jumped in because... reasons?

Meanwhile, real problems continue to exist quietly in the background, like a forgotten browser tab.

India: A Country or a Stand-Up Set?

At this point, we should just rebrand India as a reality show. Every week, a new controversy, but the plot never makes sense.

So dear government, maybe focus on actual issues for once? Or at least, if you insist on playing the moral police, fix our roads first so we don’t fall into a pothole while laughing.

Disclaimer: I'm not supporting Saima Raina or any other YouTuber. What they have done is bizarre and pathetic. But my real concern is why our government is so quick to react to a YouTube joke while ignoring serious issues that actually destroy lives of many people. The government needs to change or improve the laws related to both males and females because some females are taking advantage of these laws, and as a result, our brothers are committing suicides.
