Why is this the end?

So aside from Bob's initial tweet saying "that's it for this outfit", has there been any more info as to why? I've read all the speculations and as plausable as any of them may seem, I haven't heard a solid answer. Just feeling heart broken as this is my dream team and would hate to think this gang won't keep exploring.
