  • Will Smallbone scored a clever goal for Southampton against Liverpool but also gave away a penalty in the same game. Manning played well in defence but it finished 3-1 to the league leaders.

  • Nathan Collins was Brentford’s highest rated player in an unlucky 1-0 loss at home to Aston Villa.

  • Josh Cullen’s Burnley beat Luton 4-0 at Turfmoor. Mark McGuinness scored an own goal.
