There will be a recession because they wish it

Seeing recent new stories about how they now "decline to rule out a recession" -- and appear to be doing everything to cause one, with gyrations on tariffs whipping up uncertainty and various tactics swelling the old bugbear of unemployment -- surely leads to the conclusion that recession is exactly what they want.

And why?

Because in a recession those with wealth and power will get even more wealth and power.

When average folk can't afford their mortgages or are desperate to pay other bills, their homes will get snapped up by Blackrock just like the Panama Canal. The people become a nation of renters to a degree never seen before, with only the truly rich being able to "own" a home at all, and everybody else forced to live under another's contract.

When you can't own a home, they can set up contract conditions to kick you out any time.. To turn the middle class into an army of homelessness. And when they own nearly ALL the homes, kicking you out of any one on their contract terms means they can ban you from all the ones they own, leaving the handful they don't to be fought for tooth and nail by all those banned by them.
