Christmas Mai Tai
Summer down under and it tis the season for Tiki cocktails! Classic Trader Vic's recipe with a neat garnish: dehydrated orange for the sunset, hulled lime as your Tahitian island, mint as the palm trees and a Luxardo cherry 🍒 as an Xmas treat! I think it looks pretty good!
Classic Trader Vic's recipe: 60ml - Appleton 8 year old Rum (it's the best available for a reasonable price, the rum scene in Australia/liquor prices is pretty dire) 15ml - Cointreau 22ml - Lime (finally limes are now below $2.50 each...) 10ml - simple syrup (too much orgeat can be overwhelming) 7ml - Orgeat (I could improve the orgeat for sure)
Shake hard with big ice cube, strain over crushed ice. Garnish and enjoy!
